Screw you guys and all your winning teams. This season sucks! I'll trade everyone on the team except Boone and Ichiro for Bonds. I guess I'd keep a few of the pitchers too. When doew football start? At least the Seahawks will be very good this year!

<font size="3" face="Arial">First of all, to Carl, no, your entire team isn't worth one Bonds. Therefore, he shall never play for you.

Second, Dan, they're just playing vintage Mariner baseball. Perhaps we'll give them back the powder blue uniforms with the trident on the front. If you're really good, perhaps you'll be allowed to re-sign Alvin Davis, Phil Bradley, and Dave Valle. No, btw, your entire team ALDO isn't worth one Bonds.

Stacey, your team IS worth a Bonds. However, we would have to demand the entire roster. In return, we will also toss in Cody Ransom and Jeffrey Hammonds.

Ash, you are a Cubs fan. Take a look at the above statement for Dan in regards to your team's shortcomings. Again, your entire team is NOT worth a Bonds.

    I have spoken.

<font size="3" face="Arial">Means that your entire team ALSO isn't worth one Bonds.

The shame of it Lycan is, that even YOUR team isn't worth Bonds. I am sure that if the Sox weren't in the AL, he would LOVE to play for these players, as they actually make sense to play around him. Unlike that sorry lot of craptastic hitters you guys have.

Bonds would LOVE to go to the Cubs I am sure. He can get the protection he needs with Sosa. But Sosa would never allow a better hitter to walk into that zoo.

Good Lord man, going back to 1919 when every single team and sports person in the world was taking falls? The only problem was that the Sox got caught. Hell, the sporting world should thank them for bringing it to light and cleaning shit up.

Ask the Cubs why they lost to the Red Sox in 1917.

You have a good pitcher? Shit, the Sox have three solid starters, some damn fine relief, and Billy is starting to throw like Billy again, last night breaking the 100 MPH fastball for strikes. Plus there is the hitting. Again, if we weren't in the AL, Bonds would be wearing pin stripes right now, and either in Chicago or in NY. He would also be on the North Side gladly sporting blue, but there is a certain BS artists who would never let him onto the team. Plus I don't think Bonds ego would let him be second fiddle, and no matter how good Bonds is, Sosa will always rule that team. Hell, those guys have Prior, Wood, Maddux (eh, no big deal right now), Zambrano, and Clement, and people STILL think it is all about Sosa! My Grandma could step into his shoes right now (injury aside), and they would STILL be were they are now. AND BOTH OF MY GRANDMAS ARE DEAD!!!

2002? Take it from a Sox fan, don't live in the past man. It makes ya sad eventually. 10 years from now you will be saying "2002 man, that is all I need to say", and then you realize how sad that is.

The only team with a right to truely live in the past is the Yankees, for many, many, many obvious reasons.

<font size="3" face="Arial">You should just be thrilled to have Ichiro! Heck man, I would go watch that team all the time if I could just see him play!

Football? Ugh. The worst thing about the winter is that football and basketball are in full force.

I agree that Bonds is an amazing power hitter and anyone would want him on thier team, but saying that the Cubs roster is not worth Bonds at 40 is insane. No Question that the Giants would trade Bonds and Schmidt for Prior and Zambrano in a second. The possible long term upside is too much to pass up.

    <font size="3" face="Arial">Prior and Zambrano? no.

    Prior and Wood? maybe.

Prior, Wood, and Sosa? Most definitely.

Giants currently have two young guns named Williams and Foppert with immeasurable upside. Also have a youngster in AAA named Aardsma who will eventually take over for Nen. Now, if they could just produce a decent bat.....but then, I digress.

But to trade those three would send every single smart baseball fan on the North side right on over to the South, no doubt about it.

And are you kidding? I can't think of a team alive that would pass up Prior and Zambrano. The only reason the Giants would not trade Bonds is because he is the only thing bringing people into that park. It sure as hell isn't the rest of the team.

Prior and Zambrano would give your team a shot. Bonds just gives you neat fly balls into the water in losing games. Hell, and you only get to see that when he isn't being walked, so that means every 16th game you actually get to see the man swing a bat.

But you really do need hitting most of all.
